We get a lot of queries from our friends who are travelling to Taipei.
I'll always introduce the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Bus. Basically you pay NT$50 for a day pass and it allows you to hop on and the bus along the planned route. What we did previously was to get off to explore, be back at the bus stop before the scheduled arrival (think it was hourly interval), and move off to next destination..

Family holiday 2015
Our Taiwan in a glance.
This was the first time I (and we) took flight with my parents. The holiday was awesome with 4 pairs of hands and legs chasing after our little monkey. Pics here are all taken with our mobile phones cause my Canon S100 died due to lens error on day 2 of the trip (sigh).
We were told that the temperature was a whooping 31 degrees a few days before our trip. But.... it dropped to as low as 13 degrees while we were there. Thank God I packed extra long sleeve tees and pants for Colin.
Cheers to more holidays! =)

Hong Kong Day 1
This is us, on Jetstar that will bring us to Hong Kong for a holiday from 30 Mar to 6 Apr 2013.
We topped up $25 each for the exit seat. The flight stewardess briefed us on Mayday! Mayday! procedures and went on with her duties.
Upon landing, we proceeded to the Airport Express ticketing counter and purchased our tickets to Kowloon Station.
and was... captivated by the train ride so he went snap happy despite me telling him that it is impossible to get a clear shot in a fast moving train.
We stopped by some food joint at Kowloon Station for a quick meal before the free shuttle bus departed for Yau Ma Tei area.
Wished Singapore has this too. Delicious rice and soup takeaway, perfect for our CBD area!
We took the K5 bus, alighted at The Cityview and walked over to our accommodation under the romantic drizzles. This was the first trip we forgot to bring our umbrella, and it turned out to be the wettest trip so far.
Let me share about our accommodation, The Salvation Army Booth Lodge. It was the best accommodation during the trip.
These are our hotel beds; no idea why the receptionists didn't give us a room with queen sized bed. Do we not look like a couple?
We headed out after a short rest. First stop, the famous Tin Hau Temple (天后廟) @ Yau Ma Tei.
The weather was getting unkind. Our shoes and socks were soaked thoroughly, making us desperately for warmth. Walked by the famous Yee Shun Milk Company. Hopped in and ordered delicious mango ice (so much for warmth!), almond milk and toast bread.
The weather forecast reflected rain and thunderstorms the entire week. We had to get new shoes to protect our feet from the rainwater. So we headed to nearest MTR, which was Yau Ma Tei Station. Took the train and alighted at the next station, Mong Kok.
Hubs was sneezing due to the weather. We walked around Mong Kok, the well known shopping district. But did not fancy anything. Off to the Ladies' Market just round the corner, in hope of getting water resistant footwear.
We managed to get more than our footwear! Rewarded ourselves with real warm food to beat the cold. Came across this traditional noodle shop. Had some soupy food and returned to the hotel.
My shopping loot from Ladies' Market. Yes, RAIN BOOTS. Laughs!

Day out to Malaysia
We decided to send the car for servicing on our off day! Car servicing equates to an afternoon of Malaysia (Johor), Bak Kut Teh lunch and shopping at Jusco. Hee.
Our usual routine was to send car to workshop, take a under 10mins walk to lunch location (have to leap over 2 medium sized drains, cross 6 lanes to other side of road), go back to car owners lounge with full stomach for aircon, magazine and zzz monster battle, collect car and off to Jusco!
Even shopping has a routine! Haha! We will walk aimlessly for awhile, then head to Popular Bookstore before leaving. Hubs bought me a nice maternity dress RM$215. :) I got myself a 350ml Bros waterbottle RM$16.90.
We almost purchased a stroller cum car seat set RM$799, felt it might be too early to get it (though it was at a discounted price) just before saying yes. I really liked the design and colour!
Oh well. There were very pretty Esprit strollers too.
We left SG close to 12pm and got back Singapore slightly before 6pm; really a day trip right? :)

Our downunder trip, June 2011
I finally found time to compile our Australia pictures using iPhoto. It's actually meant to be a photo book, which I have yet to send for printing. Meanwhile, I exported it into video for sharing! Enjoy!

Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) 5-7 Nov 2010
A super post dated update! :D
We escaped to KL last November during the Deepavali long weekend with our (his) friends.
Papa Chang came to our place very early to feed our kitties and gave us a lift to Orchard Point. We enjoyed Mcdonald's breakfast while waiting for the rest to arrive. The WTS coach ($70+ return trip) was really comfortable! Spacious seat and there was power socket every alternate seat! I was elated cause my iPhone wouldn't run out of batterey then! :D We played Plant vs Zombies all the way to KL.
Pit stop!
Finally in KL! On our way to hotel.
We got lost, and sought help from some hotel. :D
Hopped onto a cab and finally got there. We took the biggest bedroom - benefit of the wedded. haha.
Grandma's @ KLCC.
2nd day shopping!
They went for massage while I walked around the mall myself. I'm really not into massage.
Popped by Chinatown after that..
Before heading back to Singapore! And my shopping loot.
