Pompeii Exhibition was opened to public for last weekend and off we went! I heard about the exhibition some months ago and kept it at the back of my head. You can imagine how elated I was to hear news of entrances fee waiver. :P I told TK about it and the rest was history. Wished I had better camera cause the area was tad too dark.
The moment you enter the exhibition area, there were sculptures of human and animals in their dying poses, one with shackles on his ankle. Walked further in, many exhibits of furniture, household and luxury items used, and glimpse of how their houses looked like. There was a room screening a 3D video on the string of events leading to eruption that day.
I felt a little sad towards the end of the exhibition after knowing how the people and animals suffocated to death. :(
After the exhibition, we took pictures of ourselves!
